Commitment to sustainability
Our commitment
At Aparthotel BCN Montjuïc, we believe that hospitality and sustainability should go hand in hand. Our goal is to reduce our environmental impact while offering our guests a comfortable and responsible stay in Barcelona.
We hold the Biosphere certification, a recognition that reflects our commitment to sustainable tourism and responsible practices that respect the environment, the local community, and our city.
Each year we work on new initiatives and improvements to make our establishment more sustainable and contribute to a better future.
Our actions
💧 Reduction of plastic and water consumption
To reduce the use of single-use plastics, we have implemented several measures in our facilities:
– Osmosis water fountain in the hotel lobby, available for guests to refill their bottles.
– Reusable glass bottles in every room.
– Refillable amenities, avoiding the use of single-use individual bottles.
⚡ Energy and efficiency
We continuously work to improve the energy efficiency of our facilities:
– LED lighting throughout the property
– Instant hot water generation system, allowing us to significantly reduce gas consumption.
♻️ Responsible waste management
We actively work to reduce waste and promote recycling through:
– Waste separation and recycling systems.
– Reduction in the use of disposable products whenever possible.
🚋 Sustainable mobility
We promote more sustainable forms of transport by providing information on public transport, walking routes, and sustainable mobility to explore Barcelona responsibly.
🌱 Continuous improvement
Sustainability is an ongoing process.
Each year we review our practices and implement new initiatives to improve our environmental impact, following the international standards of the Biosphere program.
How you can help
Our guests also play an important role in more sustainable tourism.
During your stay, you can contribute by:
– Refilling your bottle at our water fountain.
– Reusing towels and bed linen whenever possible.
– Disposing of waste in the appropriate containers.
Small actions can make a big impact!
